ARE YOU READY TO ADOPT?

Some good advice: If you really are interested in adopting a Rescue Airedale here in Florida, get your application submitted to the Sunshine Airedalers as soon as possible!

When one of our rescue Airedales is ready for adoption, we will first check our current applications to see if one of our waiting applicants would be a good match for that rescue.

After you have submitted your application, and during the waiting period, if your desire for one of our rescues changes just let us know and we will take you off our waiting list.

If the information on your already submitted application changes, please file a new application, and note on that it is a revised application.

Cooper

Super Duper Cooper, as his original foster Mom and Dad called him, is a 55-pound boy, with more energy than the proverbial bunny.  He's 3-1/2 years old and needs a very strong alpha owner—plenty of exercise is the key to being able to handle this young guy.  He's good with other pets although the cat factor is unknown.   Cooper is housetrained and leash trained, although frequent reminders while walking will help keep him focused.  Intelligent and handsome, Cooper needs a committed new owner who will follow through and work with him on his obedience and discipline.  Let us know if you have a place in your heart and home for this special young guy.

Peaches

Peaches comes to us from an elderly gentleman who could not care for her any longer.   She is 3-1/2 years old, about 58 pounds, and gets along well with her Welsh Terrier and Airedale foster siblings, but must be in a home without cats.  She is crate trained and housetrained.   Her foster mom says she knows basic obedience, comes when called, and walks very well on a lead.  It's important the training she has received be reinforced, so we are looking for someone who will pick up this when they adopt her.   She is good natured and sweet tempered; she loves sitting on the couch watching TV with her foster family and will make a great pet for a family with a fenced yard who are able to make sure she gets the exercise and discipline she needs.   Peaches will handle all the affection you can give her.

Tia

Tia is a 55-pound, 2 year-old-girl who was surrendered because she was unable to get along with a male Bichon, and the family felt it best to find her a new home.  She is very affectionate, cute, playful and knows "some" obedience.  She is house-trained and crate trained, although she doesn't think much of the crate.  We think she even gets along okay with cats, but that needs further investigation.  She loves playing with other dogs, including Airedales and hunting dogs,    She is micro chipped, spayed, and current on all her shots.   She is a great girl, with a beautiful coat and charming nature.  Like many of our young rescues, she needs discipline, structure and obedience.  Most important, Tia is a typical young Airedale girl who will benefit from being with a family who will work with her on obedience, discipline, and remind her who is the boss.

Scout

Scout is 41/2 years old, neutered, and current on all shots and heartworm preventatives.  He weighs from 57-63 pounds and we were told his weight fluctuates.  Scout is crate trained and housetrained. He is good with other dogs, and seems to even be okay with cats.  Very affectionate and playful.  He walks well on his leash and would love to find his “forever” home.

NOTE: Several other Airedales are currently AVAILABLE in foster care, waiting for just the right home. We hope you'll submit an application.!
